INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICES

Why ABA Therapy Services?
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a science dedicated to the understanding and improvement of human behavior. ABA is the only evidence-based, non-medical therapy proven effective in treating symptoms of Autism and other neurodevelopmental delays or disabilities.
ABA therapy can be conducted one-one-one, in groups, and can be in-person or telehealth. Services are also offered in various environments- in the home, the community, or in a clinic. Each treatment plan is individualized to the person receiving services.
Treatment programs are goal-focused and created to address an array of skill-deficits across communication, functional living, social skills, safety awareness, and behavior management. Each treatment program is comprised after various assessments to ensure individualization to the client's needs.
ABA therapy services promote the independence and autonomy of the client and helps individuals function more effectively in natural environments.

What is neurodiverse?
Neurodiversity
(noor-oh-di-vur-si-tee) Noun
The variation and differences in neurological structure and function that exist among human beings, especially when viewed as being normal and natural rather than pathological: recognizing autism as an example of neurodiversity.

Initially Neurodiverse, coined by Judy Singer in the last 1990's (an Australian sociologist on the Autism Spectrum), was used as a term to encompass Autism. It represented a natural variance in how the human brain works- A representation of neurological diversity
Singer, just like Spectrum Optimal Care, rejected Autism as a "disability" and instead saw it as a difference. Neurodiverse is not a scientific or diagnostic term, as of yet, but is increasing in it's popularity to describe the various differences and diversities amongst individuals.
